Dear modern day Wordsworth,

You charmed and delighted me once more!

I don't know anyone on this site whose nature poems quicken my spirit as yours do, Tom. :)

This one brought a smile to my face. How could such a fountain not heighten your walk, make your feet a bit lighter. A trio of turtles just splashing away...in tanka time.

Very enjoyable Tom as it is true these attractions in a park does make the walk so much more enjoyable especially with the turtles discharging water arcs. Well done.

Hi, Treischel,
This excellent tanka poetry creating a vivid image with a few syllables. It meets the line syllable requirements of the form.

A colorful attraction to parkland as man imitates nature;
Life-like statues capture moments of nature at its sparkling best as summer continues in a well-penned tanka.

a charm-filled delight
when fountain heightens a walk Love double meaning of 'heightens'
this unlikely glimpse
beheld with ripples and splash Great line...evokes motion
turtles discharge water arcs 'spit water arcs'

Love the pic and the poem.

A lovely poetic presentation of an enjoyable sight/landmark. The presentation is enjoyable as both the photo and the poem compliment well each other.
