This was an absolute hoot to read. I almost snorted out loud a few times. People and their pets often create their own little rituals that just beg to be ridiculed.

As to the tense change, it was seamless, and I have trouble imagining anyone calling you on it or its form.

I enjoyed reading this, Yorkies really are little Swiffers on legs, but absolutely nothing beats a Sheltie for training its owners ...
