The notes were really creepy. To think this guy could be let loose again. I'll bet no one in the prison messed with him. Nicely defined relationship between Frances and hubby. The bit about designer frame glasses --a detail that told me they had money. I had to admit the printed sound effects of the disposal had me laughing, but a ghastly description of his painful death. From the second session, I gather the foundation of the house was concrete poured over the remains of Bailey's girls. Maybe their ghosts rose up to seek revenge?

You gathered correctly, my friend, only I don't come right out and say that it's the children's ghosts seeking revenge. But, I do imply it, and you certainly caught the scent!

I always appreciate your very insightful reviews, Spit, thanks!

Dean, you have all kinds of warnings on this piece. The pictures are creepy. So far no scary sound affect has grabbed at our throats. You have a special calling obviously, you're to reach a segment of society that, we as two old ladies, will never run into much less actually meet. We respect your talent but we've got to sleep tonight so we just want to give you a review from our hearts and say God loves you and so do we.

Well, thank you, Evelyn. You know, I'm really a very gentle person. It's strange that I come up with the ideas that I do.

    God Bless!

I'll never be able to listen to water going down the drain again without remembering this gory masterpiece.
I hope that the bits of meat and bone that I've thrown down the disposal don't form a monster that will grab me. Imagine a fish fin here and a chicken neck there. Maybe a bit of gristle in between... LOL

RE your notes: They say that the worst can never be imagined as well as the horror that the insane can concoct and carry out.

I didn't see a think that I'd change or suggest. You have another short story to add to your anthology of horror stories.

Dean, I thought I was reading something from the 'Amityville Horror.'

Regardless of the subject matter , you write very well.
Even if inspired by a true story, your narrative skills are permanently on display.

''The last thought that went through Frances Bishop's mind was that perhaps her husband was right after all. She never should have talked him into buying this house.''

This is black humor at its best. Brilliant.

Well, Dean, another chapter in the pocket.

Well crafted.

It's red eyes burned - drop the apostrophe
I don't know which is grosser, your fictionalized story or your non-fiction inspiration. :-) Yuck and double yuck!
Extremely effective use of dialogue. Great descriptive detail. Now I need to read a rainbows and roses poem fast! LOL :-) Brooke

Yeah, it was a steal, right? Or, then again, maybe not so much, considering the outcome...

    Thank you, marijmd!

Wow! That was a very bloody and spooky story,. Gave me the chills from the plunger to he crawl through the gore. You brought it to life with Jim's anger, the fight with Franny, not to mention the ghoul. Then you add in the Bailey text for good measure. Great touch with WWOW 66.6 FM. Equally frightening author notes.

Shall I fear that the author of this story will also begin to live out his fantasies? Perhaps I should.

In my mind this is really two stories in one, but regardless you have an eerie familiarity with horror and the effects on readers.

Love the added visuals and sound effects.

Hah, thanks, Spiritual Echo, I sincerely appreciate the fantastic rating and review, but I hate to disappoint you. I have no time for serial killing, family dismemberment, or anything of that nature. I spend far too much time reading, writing and reviewing here to ever be able to pull it off, heh-heh...

    Thanks again!
