Very well written chapter, Barbara. I like how believable the characters are and how I can imagine these situations really playing out. You're keeping the interest of the readers.
Nicely done job!

Barbara,
This is another riveting chapter as they dig through the census records in an effort to find the trail of the broach after it was passed to Ann Wilkins. It is compelling to observe the group as they follow the genealogy of the family.
The mystery remains. How did Paige end up with the broach while she is still single? I look forward to the next posting.

Well done as always. Can't wait to find out what is happening, but then the book will be over and I'll hate that. =} I'm wondering if the computer in this chapter is a laptop? If so it might be best to call it that. Just my thoughts. Well done. Rox

This is a another well-written addition to your book. Now they are trying to trace the family-tree through the old census records.

I'm so anxious to find out what is going to happen. I have always loved your story. Cash's mom is like me I hate to impose on anyone. Your stories flow so nicely and I feel like I'm there. But what will it cost Paige to keep the house. She almost left before. The love Cash has for her wouldn't have it. Nicely done. Thanks for sharing. JM

I love genealogy and work on my family history all the time. It is not as easy as I thought to find out the specifics of someone if you don't have all the right information. They are understandably curious, I would be too. I do hope they figure out who the brooch was given to or if it stopped being passed on to the next in line.

I feel cheated. This chapter needs to be longer. I was all caught up in the census listing (I actually worked for the Census Bureau years ago), and felt like something big was gonna pop, the it stops. You are such a tease. Uh.

I thought you did a great job of handling the details about the diary and using the census to get information about the Bookman and Wilkins families. It is so interesting to be on the trail of genealogical information like that. Effective use of dialogue in this, too. Cash's mother comes of as a charming woman, and she provides some help. It does seem that Cash is wise to have his mother stay with Paige after her tires were slashed. Safety in numbers. judi

You're so welcome. You're keeping me puzzled about what's going on. There may be a ghost about, but there's also some living being (or more than one) out to drive Paige from her home. judi

this is very wel lwritten, barbara, you did an excellent job writing this chapter where faye has some ideas on how to find the ancenstors by looking at the census, and they discover that ann was deceased in the 1900 census.
