Hi, Barb,
Good facts/info in this one.
Love the feisty Faye, she'll spice up things. Now Cash will have his hands full with Paige and Mom.

It's good to catch up with your magnum opus, Barbara, after being on vacation for a few weeks. The plots still grab me and are a good mixture of love and mystery - who dunnit even? - and I can see it being very successful in finished form. My only quibble is that you aren't writing fast enough, but if that's to keep up the standard then take all the time you need. Cheers and keep the story coming. Anton

I really liked this first few lines but beginning of this is really good but overall it lacks a good plot and end but with work I think this could be a very good story.

I stated in the author's notes that if you have not read from the beginning of the novel you will NOT know what's going on.
Welcome to FS.

oh yes. I am right back on board with this story. I remember this clearly. I am enjoying this search through the census and ancestry records. I am a huge Ancestry.com follower or at least I was till I found this place. are you familiar with the sight? if not stop by just to see how they go about finding relatives from the past. I do think that these posts stand alone. we have your style and word choice and interaction of character. and each post I have read has left me wanting more. now to find the time. really well written and engaging. mike

You must enjoy the study of genealogy - looking back through old census papers. So you incorporate your interest into your story line. Good idea. I'm assuming your characters are trying to find the identity of the ghost? Well done, Barb. I almost called you "Paige". LOL!

I have tuned in late to this very interesting story. There seems to be quite a few characters here but you tie them into the story very professionally. Great writing

Went back and finished your previous chapters to catch up. I liked the way that you wrote about Paige shying away from Cash, with the underlying reason being her own feelings for him, very good writing. Also good the way you used the abduction of Paige and Mary Pat to force a reconciliation between Paige and Cash. Good, fast moving action, and your excellent dialogue propelled the story forward.

Uh this sounds quite intriguing. They know that Alice gave to Ann Wilkins the jewel, but they have no record of it. They can't even find any record of Ann's father's name, but it seems that the census were helpful for their research. I wonder if Cash's Uncle isn't Ann's relative, hence, Cash as well.
