Yes, it is depressing, and the fact that most of us can do nothing about it makes it even more so. Maybe the big, blue marble can somehow endure our terrible stewardship.

These are dark times, indeed. And you've elegantly, and in very few words, covered almost everything that's wrong with the world. I would say, I have never seen the world so black.

So true ,unfortunately.is there any solution ? not in the immediate future unless half the population disappear and then may be the rest half can have some peace .the other day i heard the story of a father cheating his own daughter of her accident insurance money.the concept of the poem is amazing-one's soul going high to look down on the world beautiful!

Well, Bob, you most likely have posted a version of your own. Anyone who cares about the world around them, as you obviously do, has written something concerning the pains and anguish in our world. Thank God there's love and compassio9n in it as well...
