A world so blue from up above. Why blue is blues?
Can we say the world is a rainbow which we can hardly see nowadays. Maybe the rainbow is too sad to show its face from above - too much pain, suffering and fear.
Despair is always around to inflict more wounds on a bare Earth which had survived the eons.
Can we ever make a difference to show kindness and cheer to the inhabitants and the sanctity of life on Earth?
We should and we must for there is only - One Earth, One Life!
Together mankind and humanity must make a stand - to believe and to have faith that all is not lost. United as we stand to protect and preserve the only legacy that our future generations can have.
Let us not destroy what we have build upon.
Courage and strength we must shed to insure blood is no longer spilled needlessly on the soil we depend for our survival.
Clean air and water are the choices we must commit before there's nothing left anymore.
Trust and pray that all will be well when our hearts are together fighting a common destiny. We must and we have to - that's the only way our children will thank us for - less we forget! Now everyone will shed a tear for this realization that only man can save the world we loved.
Great write and very well expressed from someone who had see in all from above or below. Stunning music from musical Rapture.
Cheerio, Ritchie. :))

P.S. Dean, you would have noticed that i have written a Prose Poem in response to your write in this review. Will post it and dedicate it once again to you, yours truly Ritchie. Such a beautiful write and deserving a six stars and

Thanks very much, Ritchie, my friend! I will check out that prose poem ASAP. We have recently moved into a larger home, and that move has obviously put me behind here on FS. I am beginning to wonder if I'll ever get caught back up, WHEW!

Yes, there is much that is wrong with the way we interact with the world these days. The disconnect between many young people and the fundamentals of nature makes me grieve too. I hate the media focus on all that is worst on our planet and you are right, they are never short of subject matter. I can identify with your nostalgia for days gone by but the rose-tinted glasses of hindsight glaze out the fact that man's inhumanity to man is by no means a new phenomenon, just less publicised and better concealed than it is today. I wondered whether the splitting of mankind into two words was a deliberate measure to give a double meaning - that it is not just mankind, but kindness itself that has lost its worth? A thought-provoking poem. I like the picture support, with the combined weeping of the world's inhabitants causing a sea of tears reminiscent of the hallucinations of that great mathematician and children's author, Charles Dodgson.

Unfortunately, mass media is designed to make you feel this way. I think the state of the world today is deplorable to say the least, and I think you are right in feeling the way you feel. I think this piece perfectly represents the current feeling that is spreading among the general populous. Great work, and another great pictapoem for that future ebook ;) Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, elchupakabra, and you're absolutely right about mass media. I believe I'll skip the evening news from now on, just stick to my old horror flicks. They are a lot less scary!

Me too, Gaz. We weren't even allowed in to get a drink of water, but we didn't want to go in, either. Any garden hose would do!

    Thanks for your fantastic review...

Dean, what an exceptional piece of poetry. The gorgeous artwork you chose really enhances this poem. You bring forth so very many aspects and truths of our life, our world. Nothing seems to matter to people anymore. I pass someone in the mall or grocery store and say hi. Their eyes are immediately diverted elsewhere. It is sad that we have become this way, distrustful. Well done my friend,,,,,Jim

A cry for help. Unfortunately, the men in power and that includes big corporations have selfish interests, and not to say that the poor get off so easily. Often they don't take a stand, or even know what's going on. Your rhyming quatrains pretty much covers it all from the homeless to kids and their Xbox mania. What's next? LES

It can be quite overwhelming to digest it all my friend. And how could one person make a difference/change? That is the question your piece asked of this reader.
thank you Dean,

our world, a tear-filled water balloon - what a great line and it goes so well with the imagery you created. I know what you mean about kids staying inside. I enrolled mine in summer camp where they took them bowling, amusement parks, water slides - and the COMPLAINED they did not want to go. UGH!

Oh, mercy! Yeah, because there's no Facebook outdoors, and you can't text from the water, LOL!

Thank God my kids were born the "outdoorsy types" You can't get them to hang out inside with a battleship anchor chained to their legs. When they're friends come over and want to jump on Wii, or the computer, they are instantly spirited outdoors by my kids. They are very different in that respect from most of the kids I come into contact with...

My dear friend, a 6 not because you are my friend but for the great piece I just read, It flowed and the message to the reader should be shared with the world. Not that they will listen. No one learns from the past and brings it forward to the living,
