A tightly written chapter with a new angle that certainly will lead to more complications. I'm loving this, barbara. I think Cash believes in ghosts, but doesn't want to admit it. But maybe his mom will convince him if she has her own experiences. Well done, my friend, as always.

Warmest regards, Bev

I have read a previous chapter and was surprised that I had total recall of it. that is a great sign. this stands alone in that it generates immediate interest and draws the reader in. it reads as very short and the reader wants more. as you know that is certainly not always the case here. it moves quickly but includes details that give it a feeling of reality. very well done. mike

The conspiracy surrounding cash and paige is growing. Still not sure who all is behind what events. There are definitely multiple agents working in the background. can't wait to find out the result of all the mystery.

Hi Barbara,

Ratchetting up the tensions again, now with an assault on Cash's family. Interesting suggestion of a ghost able to shift things and behave in an all too solid manner at times.

One correction -

the pickup and stared at this mom's car. - surely - the pickup and stared at (t)his mom's car.

It's easily done, I catch a few of my own like this, and sometimes someone else catches them for me. Glad to help.

Now thing are getting interesting Barb. It seems the ghost are getting Cash and Paige's full attention.
Now I wonder what kind of nasty fun the ghost will have when the house is empty.

The progress with the list seems to keep getting interrupted. They have gone over the items that mysteriously turned up in the bathroom and the box of jewelry, confederate bills, and photographs. Then something sloshed tea in Cash's face. I think he's becoming a believer. On top of that, the tires on Cash's mother's car have been slashed. Will she be much safer if she goes to stay at Paige's as Cash suggests? Maybe there's safety in numbers. Certainly someone is not too happy with Cash. Maybe a disappointed suitor of Paige's. Very suspenseful and certainly deserving 6 stars! judi

The bad guys continue to punish other people while the mystery continues to grow. What is the ghost trying to communicate other than he is there and he is real? What happened in the past that is affecting the present and Cash and Paige's future?

That ghost is one ornery cuss, taking his spite out on Cash's mom. Maybe that'll be his undoing. But then, this ghost seems to have some help from a live person. Heck of a good story, Barbara.
