Someone is definitely trying to intimidate Cash. I do hope the can find out who the culprit is and put a stop to it. Great chapter that I enjoyed reading very much.

This is an excellent chapter. Interesting reading, by using dialogue to show us what was happening. The narrative moved forward at a good speed. The opposing viewpoints of Cash-now that he has direct evidence-and Billy Joe added the realism needed there and also authenticated the mystery.
You write more succinctly with each chapter. Read most of your previous but didn't review, still enjoying your work. irish

Barbara,
The chapter is interesting and captivating; I found it riveting and read straight through. The suspense and mystery continue to build with each subsequent release, and the intrigue escalates. It appears that Paige's belief in Bradley Bookman's ghost is putting a strain on her relationship with Cash as the artifacts continue to appear.

In the last week, I just had a flat tire and was broken down on the four-lane for an hour waiting for help to arrive. I get chills looking at your picture.
Nala grabbed a kitchen towel and began wiping off Cash. "Mr. Cash, what happened?"
I don't exactly know why this part made me laugh. I just got this weird visual of this woman with a towel in this man's face.
"If he's so helpful, then why'd he let those men hit and tie us up?" asked Mary Pat.
That is a very good question Mary Pat.

Hi, Barb. I believe ghosts do haunt houses. In this case an old antebellum home from the civil war days, anything is possible. I think your plot continues to move along nicely, barb.
Good write and superb dialogue btw. Bob

I haven't read your previous post, but I this portion is well written and kept my attention from start to finish. You did a great job with your dialogue and paragraphs. Everything was tight and kept the story moving smoothly. I hope I can learn from your examples. :-)

The writer transitions the events well. This story has good balance as the writer uses a pace that intensifies as the chapter goes on. The writer does a good job of keeping the readers attention from start to finish. I enjoyed reading this piece. Good job.
