I appreciate your using different forms in your Mall series. The Whitney is one of my favorite short forms, since like the cinquain, it provides a little more space than haiku. I enjoyed your adding rhyme, which is not easy, and the 'symmetry' you captured. Cheers- Joan

I understand it now, you are making a whole series about this big shopping Mall near you. Nice as it seems to be very nice. There is nice symmetry in your photo and you wrote a very good Whitney.

I loved this one, the rhyme scheme is just right for these words. The photo, one of your own, is really clever, you got the angle just right to show the simplicity of lines. An all round excellent Whitney. xsx Sandra

Thank you Sandra. Had to use a wide angle lens to get it all.

I get scared if my eyes look anywhere but ahead. It must be a phobia. It has nice symmetry in the architecture. Good photograph. Good notes. Good poem.

Very good way of describing the escalators. I personally don't enjoy using them, but I do to keep from climbing stairs. Your poems always tell of different experiences that you have had. I enjoy reading them. Sara :)

This is a nice poem about the specific escalators at Mall of America. I really like the photo showcasing the crisscross pattern. I don't know how quickly these operate (fast?), but most escalators I know move rather slowly and gently. I find it interesting that you are doing a series of poems about the MOA. I'll look for more. ~JP

Thank you June. I meant fast as compared to walking up steps. A bit of poetic license here.

Heck yeah, I remember those crazy staircases! You get a true cardiovascular work-out when you go to that place, let me tell ya! And, there is absolutely no way that you are going to see everything it has to offer in just a single day, either.
Nice little verse here, Mr. 'T'. I'm enjoying these Mall of America inspired poems!

Nice work Mr T Like the idea of that Mall Series .. Your work is always very interesting and informative Sure would like to visit that mall some day Don't have anything like that here on the big Island Perhaps that in itself is a good thing

Thank you Sir T. With your beautiful year-round weather, you don't need an indoor mall.
