Dear Barbra,
I like how you build more and more of the supernatural in your book. I saw one thing in the beginning that you might consider; "He glanced out a window. "I guess a summer storm blew up. Maybe it'll cool things off."
"I hope it does cool things down.", I think repeating "cool things down" makes this sound stilted, my ear tells me that it should be something like"I sure hope so." with out repeating. Nice chapter--Ted

The ghost is making himself more evident. It sounds like things are coming together. I wonder if Cash will ever buy the ghost story. I guess the theives still have to be caught. You're doing a great job of holding my interest.

I read your author notes and you're right. You really do have to read the previous. I loved the image of the brooch. Nala's hands "sat" on her hips? Never heard that before.

A very good story. I live in the South where a lot of the old plantation homes still exist. There are a few that are lived in but many need Cash's help in restoring. Great job!

Paige believes int he ghost but the guys don't of course. I'm sure the ghost will do something to convince them of at least admitting to the possibility. Now we know what the thieves were looking for.

Before they mentioned the ghost as the one laughing, I thought it was the crime scene guys that they left in the parlor. It's an old house and if it has registers the sound could carry through the duct work. Did you mean to leave the crime scene men downstairs. No one even said good-bye to them when they took Paige upstairs.
As always you leave us wondering. Who left the jewelry and who is laughing. Good chapter, barbara.

Good descriptions. No spag spotted. So now they have found a valuable brooch with turquoise and diamonds. I wonder if there are more treasures to be found?

Hmmm a ghost that laughs, I have felt the presence of one but have never seen or heard one. Well other than footsteps, never heard one speak or laugh.
This chapter was so well written I think even those who don't believe in ghosts will have srcond thoughts.
But who or what put the broach there and why? Nala did not find it earlier. As always Barbara you find a natural break to end. Giving is lots to think about.
I have no doubt you have lots more in store for us before this tale is through.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Barbara,
Well, it seems the ghost of Bradley likes to play tricks on Paige, if one believes in ghosts. Apparently, Cash doesn't but who else could have placed the brooch there? This story is getting more intriguing with every chapter. You always leave hanging! Well done....blessings, chey

So they found the broach under the sink in a towel? Seems that they must have been put there recently for the towels are new. Gosh who is the ghost that is laughing at them.

Thank you for the kind review. The brooch wasn't there when Nala cleaned that morning.
