This is exciting. The police procedure sound pretty real. They seem to focus on what Cash and Billy Joe were doing, as if they consider them suspects. As is pointed out, the big old house has any number of places where jewels or other treasure could be hidden. Good use of dialogue and history about the secret tunnels. Morgan did his bit by tearing off a piece of glove from the intruders who tied Paige and Mary Pat. Very interesting and great action. judi

this is very well w ritten, barbara, you did an excellent job writing this chapter where paige and mary pat refuse to go to the doctor, cash and billy have to verify their whereabouts to the police to keep from being accused as the perpetrators. i enjoyed reading it.
