The mystery continues unabated. Will Civil War treasure be found in the old house? Another well written chapter with just the right amount of dialogue and plot development.

Hi Barbara,

Why do I have a feeling the police aren't really interested in doing a though investigation - or am I maligning them?

Good chapter, you show the tension between Cash and Paige well.

My feeling is someone is watching this house, and there is at least one alternative way in. Cash better find it quickly.

I liked the action, communication and interaction in this chapter. This chapter is a good progression from the previous one and there is still the element of suspense in it, the scenes are very realistic.

Savannah Love. 'Chapter eleven - Part Two.' We'll stick with you, if you'll stick with us. Agreement is always a two-way street. Let us keep to our agreement. Good chapter.

I felt the dialogue and the line of questioning from the police were very realistic in this post. I'm curious to find out the results of the hand print, and if it belongs to someone Paige and Cash know :-)

As usual, you've done a great job keeping up the suspense. I was very glad to find the women were unharmed and finally, Cash remembered the other evidence with the car and all. I'll have to read this to the end.

Just one thing you might want to check: Both ladies shook their head(s).

Things are really heating up at Paige's home, with all this activity and mystery continuing. I suppose with all the coincidences as far as where Cash has been, certainly has given the police cause to suspect Cash. But he is able to substantiate his alibi and allay the officers' suspicion, because he has receipts as proof.
All this is very unnerving especially to Paige and the plot seems to thicken, with more questions than answers.
Another interesting chapter.

Ooooh, Barbara, this is so good! I can't wait to find out who it is that's doing all this, and to see if our ghost turns up again to rescue Paige at some point. The suspense is big time!

Hey there Barbara
OK so now the intrigue continues to build in this who dunnit. I am wondering if the ladies had told their friends about the jewels? Perhaps someone we have not seen yet, had a go of it. Looking forward to the next chapter

This romance/mystery has the feel of a Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew novel for grown ups!

Nice developments, well handled. :)

Spags:

cheese and crackers/crackers and cheese - prefer over cheese-n-crackers as the expression is not used in dialogue and appears a bit out of place.

I swear gremlins come and put these errors in my writing. I'm sure after I repeatedly edited they weren't there. LOL. I appreciate the eagle eye. I never seem to catch them all.
