Typical police question at the end, always look for the obvious first, I guess. This is good. I hope you know where it is heading now. This is a very good story. BTW, I have a conference call on Wednesday with a small Internet-based publisher in Austin regarding Fried Windows (in A Light White Sauce), something I wrote a year ago and recently made into a novel. Has to be the weirdest thing I've written with the possible exception of the Thuperman idea. But they like the novel and want to talk. So, let's hope it's going to happen.

Good luck. Keep me post. I will pray about your call. I have always known where this story is going. It's got many twists and turns.

Well done. I felt like I was there with the fellows going into that dark mudroom.

One part kind of confused me. I think this suggestion would help.

"When Mary Pat didn't answer, I went to the door. Somebody hit me from behind.

Suggestion:

(This lets us know right away that Paige is talking.)
"When Mary Pat didn't answer, I went to the door, and somebody also hit me from behind.

Hope this review is helpful.

Sigh I'm so glad they were found and alive. Imagine all these neat little hidey-holes in your own house? But the are not identifiable because the had masks on. Now the police are there and they are questioning Cash and his friend as if they had something to do with it.

I seriously doubt Cash and Billy Joe had anything to do with it, but one never knows. LOL Thank you for the kind review.

sat Paige and Mary Pat. Their hands tied - I would use a comma instead of the period
as he growled trying to chew - I'd either use a comma after growled or say growled while trying
would you get Paige some ice for her ankle? - I added a question mark
It needs iced - needs ice or needs to be iced
Marty Gras masks - mardi gras
excellent dialogue that conveys emotions well and provides information of what is going on
Brooke :-)

Thank you for the eagle eye. I read that over one more time as I was posting. DARN!!! I hate missing those.

I won't either. Saturday I took a test to see if I could get ESL tacked on to my teaching certificate. I studied for months, but the wrong thing. Only two questions were about things I had studied. Saturday and Sunday nights I have been sleeping over 12 hours each night. I think I am just plain worn out.

Well, take some time to enjoy your summer and just let your mind and your body relax! I hate to remind you of this, but you're not 21 any more ;-)

DARN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought I was. LOL One of the reasons, I wanted the ESL attachment was I'll be 60 my next birthday and someday I'll be too old to keep up with the 6 year olds, but I love children and doing ESL, I'd be working with small groups of 4 children throughout the day.
