Although I'm diving right in and am not entirely sure how each of these characters connect (as you mentioned in author's notes) - this snapshot shows that each is unique and fleshed out. Good job with dialogue - I especially liked the exchange with Cash and Billy Joe.

Hi Barbara:)
Nice filler to add some 'feel' for the old South. A doctor and a gay masseur who make house calls. I like the ay the doctor also restricts Paige's movements, eve approving house calls by Mr. Redman.

Now we have to wait to find out who the rude, snooty and obviously 'upper crust' women are, Paige is certainly meeting a large cross-section of Savannah's population.

Isn't it about time that Cash starts to feel like a boyfriend?

I am ready to see the mystery expand. Who wants what of Paige?

Love and Irish Hugs for your nice romance.

Roger

I will be galloping on to the next chapter as soon as you've posted it.

Another good read, Barbara!

I wonder when Cash will make a declaration. Does Paige have any suspicion about his feelings?

day and age - no hyphens

First of all, let me say about the puppy picture, "Awwwww." Anyway, I enjoyed the story and the fictional puppy, and the little old ladies who don't quite know how to act. Keep up the good work!

Your story is full of twist and the plot thickens by the minute. I love the photo of the pup. It enhances the story. This is another great chapter that I enjoyed reading

Oh, my. You ARE painting a snooty picture of the South. I have to laugh at the old biddies. They have to know Cash if he grew up around there. They probably went to school with his Granny. Very entertaining, Barbara. :) nancy

Excellent. I love how you keep adding new plot twists.

Dr. Henderson's nurse wouldn't allow her to make an appointment without checking first with him. - she calls Mr Redman, the lawyer, and gets a responce from Dr. Henderson's nurse. Were there two calls made? I think this needs another sentence or two for clarity.

Excellent segment, Barbara. As always, you give us outstanding dialogue and show us well built situations.

'Maurice picked up Paige and the pup.' (LOL! Am I gettin' this picture right? Maurice with Paige in one arm and Morgan in the other, headin' up the stairs)

I think Maurice is holding Paige with two arms and maybe the pup is on Paige. LOL Thank you for the kind review.

All the usual platitudes again. It's a pleasure reading your posts. Your writing is crisp and flawlessly edited. The picture of the puppy was a nice touch. I must commend you regarding your character's development: They take the reader and place them into the story. Kudos!

Take care,

Ray

I take it that Maurice is a big guy since he picked up both Paige and the pup. If he's been described before, it's my fault for not reading your story from the beginning.

The visitor is a real piece of work, isn't she? Very class conscious and rude. It should be interesting in the next scene.
Wait until she sees Maurice. LOL

Very enjoyable.

Maurice was introduced before and he's full of muscles. Thank you for the kind review.

I actually pictured him that way. Ha! That's what they all look like in the movies. LOL
