Another well written chapter. The story is progressing nicely. Just one suggestion: someone was contesting the will. --- someone contested the will.

I've read the last several posts, so I understand the storyline. But I must say that these tiny bites of story are difficult on the reader. The suspense is slowly building, but my interest is waning because I keep waiting for something to happen and nothing does. Meantime there doesn't seem to be any restoration taking place or romance either. Everyone just seems to be sitting around idly waiting for something to happen. Your work is well written and engaging to the reader, but the tempo is beginning to worry me a little.

The chapter moves the story forward with the P.I. taking the fingerprints and the hidden staircase behind the wardrobe. The suspense is picking up with each chapter. The bit about the contested will also contributes to the mystery.
The flows and read smoothly, and it held my attention all the way through. I look forward to the next release.

I doubt that there will be more visitors before morning. Maybe the intruders found what they were looking for. If they just wanted to scare Paige out of her home, I think they would have made more noise, before they left.
Paige needs to understand that Cash and Billy Joe just wanted to avoid scaring Paige more by telling her about the hidden staircase. She should appreciate the fact that Mary Pat brought her gun along to protect them. Mary Pat also seems alarmed about the strange events.
Will they all learn more when morning comes?

You're doing great sweetie. Janie said you're a teacher and only get to post on the weekends. She had cataract surgery Monday and will have the Left eye done April 8th. God loves you and I do too.
