Hi Barbara,
Still have me hooked trying to figure out "who dunnit."
Your characters have great depth so that it feels real to me.
It was so much like a normal everyday house hold event and meal that the note caught me by surprise too. But great job in creating more suspense for the reader.
Hooked well and good for sure. Well penned I enjoyed the read very much.

The end of this chapter leaves me yelling for more. Now I am afraid something has happened to Billy Joe and Mary Pat. Cash is worried that Walker is stalking Paige and I wonder why? Who left that ominous note for Paige telling her to get the hell out? It has unnerved her and I don't blame her. Have a good time with your parents and hurry back (smile) cuz I can hardly wait to read more. Well done....blessings, chey

Super chapter! Great dialogue. Maybe I'm just partial to dogs, but I think Morgan contributes his fair share to the story! He may be just a puppy, but he can alert people to possible intruders. Cash has gone above and beyond, helping Paige and taking puppy to the vet. Good background on the Walker family and how Dwayne Walker fits into the picture. The threatening note about showing loyalty to white society or get the hell out is pretty frightening. And you leave us with some suspense about what has happened to Billy Joe. Great chapter. judi

I'm surprised Cash took a handgun instead of a shotgun. You can shoot the latter and guarantee hiting what you aimed at. This is very well written. Good job of writing.
