I am sorry I took so long to get to this. I am still limited to the time I can spend on the computer. Bit by bit, I am actually catching up. Great chapter. Poor Paige is having a hard enough time with a broken ankle without have to deal with the local bigots. I look forward to the next chapter. Have a nice vacations and hope you have fun.

Tight writing with few redundancies. Dialogue moves easily. My problem is 'where's the drama?' Everyone just 'gets along', and the potential drama is so distant. At the same time, I'd like a little more character and character differentiation. The story seems rather aimless, even if this is only an excerpt from a novel. It's difficult, but each chapter must be compelling.

So the opposite version of the KKK is setting itself up to drive Paige out of her inheritance. Hmm, why do I still think there's a distant relative lurking in the background here.
