Ooooh, I hope nothing happened to Billy Joe. And that Dr. Walker remains creepy, even if he hasn't been in the last couple of chapters.
As always, another great chapter.

Wow some racist drama coming up huh. I am sure your fiction is more truthful than you probably intended. I still reckon racism and Southern "superiority" is still alive and well in this 21st Century. You got me in for sure! No Spags

This is an intriguing story. Had to come back and read this chapter after I read the one that followed. Had to find out what letter they were talking about. Good character and plot development and enough suspense to keep the reader's attention.

Hi Barbara:)
I know that I read and reviewed this post several days ago, but somehow my comments weren't saved. Maybe I looked at the picture too long and stopped to eat.
Every thing seems to be going well between Cash and Paige as he helps her move around. She is rapidly becoming a fixture around Cash's family.
Then when Cash takes her home they find an ominous note on her door: "We don't want Yankees contaminating Southern purebreds. Show loyalty to White Society or get the hell out." Shades of the old south.
Paige is obviously scared so Cash asks Billy Joe and Mary Pat come backto Paige's so they can make sure she is safe. Now there may be a new problem when as something slows their return. This is becoming a real cliffhanger with threats fro unknown people. I'm ready to learn more.

I am so sorry that you had to review this with no money attached. I like to reward my fans. I upset when newbies read me just for the points, though.
Anyway, I always enjoy hearing from you because you bring such good insight to my stories and I know if I am getting my point acrossed. Thank you.

I would rather review someting good with hopoints than somethinng with a lot of points but no substance.

Nice story line and characters so far. They will make a cute couple and seems they will be forced to depend on eachother.

The narrative reads easily enough, but I had a little trouble figuring out who was who among the characters. That's the problem with reading novels piecemeal I guess. Your "Background" only mentioned two characters; it might be better to provide a fuller list for occasional readers like myself.
As one of the other reviewers mentioned, this part of the story seems just a bit slow paced. On the other hand, suspense and interest are clearly built up for the next installment. Some of these things are difficult to judge or even get a feel for with exposure to just a narrow slice of the pie. But, what I read here seemed okay to me.

Hi barbara,
For someone who claimed not to be interested in a dog Cash sure takes care of Morgan. Its so sad that we have people who are so full of bigotry and I hope Paige allows Cash to help her with this problem. What could possibly of happened to Billy Joe?
Your story reads smoothly and I felt as if I was right there among them. Good job and thank you for sharing.
