This is a great chapter with questions raised about Walker. He's shown himself to be bigoted, but is he the one who helped Paige back to the house. Paige says she's going to get out her contract so she won't be working with him. Cash really likes to take charge, as seen in his arranging the vet's appointment for Morgan. Very chilling ending with Paige reading about Bradley, supposed being killed in the War, being on hand when Alice gave birth. Paige realizes the answers to what's being going on with the house are in that journal. The air conditioner suddenly going cold is another interesting addition. Six stars for great work. judi

Barbara, another good post. I've never heard of an animal being happy when a ghost is around. An interesting reaction. Page is still conflicted about Cash. I don't really have a sense of elapsed time. How long has she known him? :) nancy

As always, the extra detail, the dog, the interaction between the characters bring the scene to life.
They still don't know what to think about the identity of Paige's saviour, and the nasty Walker in the wings...great writing.

The myster deepens and the suspense grows. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read. Good job.

Excellent dialogue throughout - you convey the suspicions of the Doctor well along with resentment of any foul schemes he's engaged in. You continue to give clues to the supernatural like the cold in the room, the lack of footprints but no cleaning supplies missing, the significance of the date in family history. :-) Brooke

I got chills reading this, although I doubt somehow doubt that the spirits are out to do Paige harm. It is obvious there is some-one or some-thing who is after her. (Not just Cash)
I suspect the doctors motives, and am inclined to believe somehow he carried her inside that night.
You carry the story so well through good use of dialog Barbara. I could see no stumbling blocks at all in this chapter.
Thanks for sharing, am looking forward to the next one.

Well one way or another they will git to the bottom of this problem. There is always something going on here. The puppy is the littlest of them. Heehehehe.
