I think you are saying that Bradley was already a ghost when
Alice's baby was delivered so that why Paige thinks he is still the ghost haunting her house. This is a good mystery. The Confederate money leads to more questions.

this is very well written, barbara, you did an excellent job writing this chapter where paige presents her case about bradley being the ghost, cash shows her the confederate bill and nala tries to leave to eat in the kitchen and paige pins it down that somebody said something to her.

Women do many things while bearing a child and hallucinating ain't one of them." - Get him, Nala!

"In these parts, the hired help don't eat with the employer." - Wait, they had nails and massages together, but can't sit down and eat together?

Oh crap, here comes the other part of the good old south.

I swear these installments are like crack, and you're milking my addiction.

Good for you!

Thank you for the kind review. I am so sorry. I like to post the entire chapter at once, but my paying job just takes too much time.

The mystery is becoming more defined and racism rears its ugly head. The dialogue seems natural and the story is developing well through it. It's a page turner.

I am enjoying this story. I like how you continue to keep it interesting by coming up with new ideas and cliff hangers that make the reader long for more. I am still enjoying this story. I did notice the error below.

Very interesting! The ghost of Bradley Bookman is becoming more and more real to Paige with what she reads in the diary and also with the find of the Confederate money. If this isn't the work of a ghost, what could it be? The dialogue and interactions among the characters are great. Nala seems to be behaving strangely, declining to eat lunch with Paige. We've yet to see what's behind that. Perhaps she has disturbing thoughts about the ghost. Fascinating develops engage the reader. judi Sorry for the error. this should correct it. judi

I'm a little confused. You gave me a five star review, but four stars. What do I need to correct to get five stars? Thank you for the kind review.

My mistake, barbara. I'll go back and change. I certainly meant it to be five stars, but sometimes my computer acts up and I didn't notice this time. judi

O h so much is going on in this chapter. I wonder who dropped the confederate money in the yard? It seems Paige is convinced the answers are in the family history. Well she may be right.

The ways of the South are slow in changing. I am surprised a large city like Savannah would still be harboring ill feelings, but I haven't visited it in over sixty years. This is very well written, making for an interesting read.

I have a feeling it's only a certain few in the larger cities. Thank you for the kind review.

Hi Barbara, I love the characters in your writing, they leap from the page.

...there ain't no strong drugs used." Nala's hands were on her hips. > it speaks volumes.

I am wondering now, what Nala has heard? Or been told, and why she is suddenly jittery around Paige?

Can't wait to find out.
