Is she going to be okay? Will Cash get there in time? Is Morgan going to make it? The cool thing is, you make your readers care!

Could this be the person who she thought could be a ghost? Now you really have my curiosity worked up. I can hardly wait to read some more, Barbara. I enjoyed the part about the puppy, too.
You must be getting this week off from school. The children here have the week off.

Yes, I go back on the 7th. My husband and I are taking a short road trip to El Paso tomorrow, but will be back Saturday evening. I just want to see another part of TX. Thank you for the kind review.

I really enjoyed this and wonder who saved her. I wondered why she passed out? If she hit her head against the tree that would give her a reason to pass out. Most people don't pass out from spraining an ankle. Well done.

Entertaining business with the puppy and his behavior during the storm seems natural. Great description of the storm. Now if Cash said he didn't know she needed help when she called him, who did come to her rescue after she hurt her ankle? A bit of mystery there. Very interesting. judi

this is very well written, barbara, you did an excellent job writing this chapter where paige tries to get the puppy to calm down and is injured in the process. then someone other than cash took her and put her in her bed.

Hi Barbara,
Hmm, an accident and then a mystery. So just who did, retrieve her and put her to bed?
Good chapter, though I must say, this lass needs some sense licked into her - you don't walk pups in a storm!

Hi Barbara,
Oh dear, who was the person who carried Paige up stairs and put her on the bed? She certainly was in a fix and needed help and of course she thought it was Cash. Poor little Morgan is afraid of the thunder but many animals are. I was glad Paige could comfort him before she passed out. This chapter is well written and intriguing. Can't wait to see what happens next....blessings, chey

Oh oh, someone else came to her rescue!! Hmmmm, was it the ghost from the house? Or perhaps someone who knew her? Oh jeez this is gonna really throw a whole new light onto this story. Who was it?

This scene struck me as one of those scenes from a B-horror movie where the characters do the dumbest things for no reason. Why would she want to go outside in such pending weather? (She even loses the leash and trips and falls like in the B-horror movies. LOL) Why would the dog be afraid of such weather? After all, he WAS an outside dog.
This was kind of cliche for me, but I guess I've watched way too many movies. :)

Thank you for the kind review. I have a great pyrenees who was a stray for at least 6 months. He ran our neighborhood before he decided to move in with us. He's deathly afraid of storm and is even afraid of the wind. It's funny seeing this 100 plus pound scaredy cat. Puppy's need to go out side after they eat whether it's bad weather or not. Paige was hoping to beat the storm.
