absolutely, Barbara:
I can see where the ghost tour would become relevant
later in a story like this - I suspect some of our
ghosts might match up along the line somewhere - and
may even meet in the Colonial Park Cemetery now and
then for a late night rendezvous.
thanks for sharing

Well written with good flow and interest. I could find no obvious punctuation errors. I looks like this story is leading on to something else - which is exactly what a good writer aims for.

I'm gals I opened this tale Barbara. It is interesting/fascinating reading. I have an open mind because I believe we are so limited in our abilities. I'm sure God's wisdom is at work there. Blessings. Barbara.

I'd like to do this tour for real. It sounds fascinating. You really sparked my interest, and I love this part of the book. It sets everything up nicely, so I'm glad you decided to continue with it.
Cash certainly has something to think about, seeing the apparitions in the cemetery.
Good write, Barbara.
hugs, Av

Hullo Barbara ...
I am one of those who is really enjoying your book - ghosts and all!! There is just one word which calls for a change ...
* You refer to the upper story of a building which should
be - the upper storey.
Now, I look forward to the next chapter.
Love from ... Nanette Mary.

A very enjoyable tour of Savannah's haunted houses and of some of the Civil War history. You make the presentation by making Evan a great tour guide. The matter of the tunnels is fascinating, and I'm sure no one would know the exact count. The teenage boy's comment was a clever addition, as I can imagine him wanting to get the ghosts and skip the history. The accounts of the ghosts were very interesting. Many of the details seem to strike a chord with Paige as she's thinking her house might be haunted. Six star reading! judi

I've been waiting for this. Where you been hon?
As always, a fascinating, informative and well written chapter, which left me wanting to read more.
I wonder whether Cash is beginning to revise his opinion. I'm on tenter-hooks now.
Great stuff, atmospheric and very original.

The author might remember my review of the previous chapter, and I do wonder if more narrative description might be in order here too.
Or, maybe not.
I say that because as the tour continues, I don't know if this post needs as much of that because the blend between history and what's happening in real time is so well done. The author did an exceptional job with that. That also helps because dialogue is the focus here. As it was in the last chapter, but more so in this post, I think.
So, easily a 5 for me, but hope the author considers a little more detail with the houses the tour visits:
The thirteen person group stood in front of a huge house.
After walking about seven blocks, Evan stopped in front of a two-story house.
It would help the reader immensely if some details about the houses are provided. These are historical houses, so the focus shouldn't just be on the significance of them, but also what they look like to the tour group.
Not only would someone on a tour take in the history of the house, but how it appeals to them visually as well.
Readers want the same.

I don't want to spend a lot of time on the houses because the only part that's important to the story is the ghosts and the history. Thank you for the kind review.
-
I understand and agree, but no time is spent on the houses. No description at all.
The things is though, it's not so much about these houses as it is a lack of description and detail in both chapters I reviewed.
It's just not there.
-
I am pretty sure my next post won't have a description of the houses either.
-
Ok .... No reason to get defensive and snarky. Just one member's opinion.
-
I am sorry, I did not mean to come across defensive. I wrote the reply in a hurry. I should have waited until I had more time.
-
That's fine. Happens to all of us.
No harm done.
