Well written, very realistic happenings keys locked in car, women shopping trips, realistic is a good thing. Reader wonders is ghost ol' William T. Such a shame a Yankee haunting a good Southern house. Enjoyed.

Hi, Barbara. I really enjoyed this and am going with 6 stars. You introduce an interesting character in Mary, and the dialogue is great and helps advance the story. The background you gave about Bradley and Alice comes into play here, and the thought of a ghost adds to the excitement. I thought you might give Cash more of a southern accent. This is going to be a great example of a romantic historical mystery. Great start! judi

Cash is extremely well educated, which will come out later. Billy Joe is not well educated and that's why I give him more of a southern accent. I have had reviewers tell me the southern accent is irrating. Thank you for the kind review.
-
You're so welcome. Sometimes even the well-educated like to assume a southern accent when they're inclined. (Ask the politicians) You might have Cash use it occasionally if he wants to yankd Paige's chain. judi
-
In an upcoming post, I do have him go into a deep southern accent. I even have Paige attempt one.
-
That should be fun. Light-hearted moments are good when you're dealing with ghosts. judi

Very nice work you have going here. And I have to admit that I am a little biased in my opinion of the book, sepcifically for its setting: Savannah. I resided in that strange and beautiful town (well, most of it is beautiful, if you stay north of Derenne Avenue, that is...) for more than fifteen years. I was whisked back there immediately when I saw the shot of River Street.
Your characters and 'history' are well-rendered, and the content is quite genuine and believable. I am intrigued by your inclusion of the ghostly element for which Savannah is renowned. This only makes me want to keep coming back. Which I will be doing.
Excellent work, dear lady.
Cheers!

Thank you for the kind review and encouragement. Please don't hesitate to set me straight if I make a mistake in history. It's my subject, but I have been there and I do a lot of research.

You do a great job here. Very well written. Excellent imagery. I haven't read this work before, but it's something that caught my interest. Very easy to read and kept me moving. Great job.

I think Paige and Cash like each other. Your story is excellent and I enjoy reading every word. I want to know if they are still fighting the Civil War.

Paige appears to be fitting in quite well, for a yankee:) Making friends and learning so much about the house's history. Maybe she's find out which one is haunting it. Maybe one of them is insulted to have a northern living in it. Its going a long very well. I'm enjoying the characters and the plot line.

My previous comments apply to this one as well. I plan to continue reading this but won't be leaving a comment unless I find something I think requires your attention. Hope that is okay with you.

Hi Barbara,
I think Paige is quite taken with Cash and unless I am wrong he may feel the same about her. I'm glad Paige has found a friend in Mary. If the house is haunted she will need all the friends she can get! Great chapter which I have come to expect of you.....blessings, chey

Good stuff Barbara and I can see it is playing towards something. You have a master plan and it will show itself soon. In the mean time, keep it coming as you are.
