This is well written and very inspiring for someone suffering from addiction. Taking that first step is hard, and so is sticking with it. These people need as much encouragement as they can get. Good job!

Awesome message in this poem. It gives new meaning to taking a leap of faith. It's true that the trappings of the world will get to you if you aren't mindful of it. I believe many of today's illness can be traced to a failure to embrace the new. Great job with rhyming, cadence and word choice. It was an enjoyable read!

This is so true as it relates to other things than addiction. Negative behaviors, negative thoughts etc. If we are unhappy as your poem describes, it makes sense to try something new and hopefully better. Well writte with nice couplet rhymes~Debbie

Thank you for making a statement about "thinking out of the box." Traditions are to be kept that only have meaning. Those without must be discarded for the new that will bring an enlightenment. As far as I know, the world isn't flat anymore.
