Wonderful work! The lady is sure angel than witch. Some co-incidences make a drastic change in our lives making us wonder if they were a mere coincidence. Excellent prose! Good use of adjectives that bring out more life to the scenes, and aids in visualizing the scenario easily.

Very nice. I really enjoyed it - your "words - pictures in the mind" were exceptional. I saw them both - and the follow through from the start to finish kept me engaged.

First of all, congratulations on the Seal of Quality. It was that announcement that led me over here to read. This is a good piece of flash fiction. It is well-conceived, with a provocative setting and interesting characters. The plot line holds tension and reader interest, and the ending is quite satisfying, and some what of a surprise, which is always desirable in a short-short. Two minor things: check the spelling of "mesmerized" in paragraph 12. Also, in paragraph 2, if you were to substitute "pistol" for "gun", it might sound better to the reader's ear, as you follow soon after with "gum boots".
Nicely done story-written on a professional level.

A very well written story that kept me interested from beginning to end. I had to look up wraith and found it to be Scottish. Is that where you envision the story taking place? I am not sure if this contest is already done, but I hope you had or have good luck with it.

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed my story. I didn't actually imagine a specific location for the story. My story took 3rd place, but I've already entered it in an off-site contest, so maybe it will do better there. I appreciate the kind good wishes.

I just came across this while perusing; and I'm glad I did. This is just a wonderful piece of fiction. I'll admit to being a sucker for ghost stories and have read lots of them. I found this an exceptionally well-written one. Good luck with your submissions.

This is excellent flash fiction. The lighthouse keeper goes out to save a life and instead his own is the life saved. The story is tight and well-developed. It is full of mystery and has a great ending. Good luck in the contest.
