What a touching poem about your Michael. (Son or grandson?) He seems to be a cute and smart boy. I can picture the cheerios flowing down the steps and how he forced you to take him to bed with you. Impressive poem, I bet you wrote it with tears in your eyes...

I was not going to enter this contest but this afternoon my other grandson (DJ's brother) tried to hang himself. He isn't dealing with the loss of his brother at all. I started thinking about Michael (my son) and these words just came out. Thank you for reading them. Carol

This afternoon my grandson (DJ's brother) tried to hang himself...He said his family didn't love him and wanted DJ instead. I started thinking about Michael and just wrote down my thoughts. Thank you so much. Carol

The fact that you say he 'tied' hopefully means he did not succeed. Depression is so powerful and debilitating. I hope is is okay and is now getting the help he needs. I will say a prayer for him. I loved your poem and just voted for it. It touched me deeply.
