I'm sorry to say this, but you have some really messed up sisters. Was there no way to educate them about dementia. Sheesh, they think your mother and you were crazy, I think they are the ones a few cans short of six pack. This is another masterful chapter, well crafted, I like that you left the letters exactly the way they were. Although, I fear if you use them, won't your sisters come after you for money when you make it big from this book?

Anyway, I have news. One of my stories has been selected to be published in the September issue of SNM Horror Magazine. You'll be able to find it at snmhorrormag.com (OK, get your mind out of the gutter, SNM is the editors initials, hehe) I hope you stop by and check it out. The story is called, Quilty as Charged. You might get a kick out of it. I can't put it on fanstory because no simultaneous publishing is allowed, that's so cool, hehe.

Great read.

I most definitely want to read it. I will check it out today. Thanks for making me laugh. Yes, my sisters all have serious problems, as I clearly did too. But they were not receptive to any input on dementia or willing to listen to anything I had to say. In answer to your questions, I won't have anything problem puting their letters in the book as they were sent to me and my property. I also have the originials should they claim they never wrote them.

Another chapter completed. Everything is so tragic ... I hope 'mum' gets to move back home. It is like she is the prawn in the middle, and her health is deteriorating at a rapid rate. It's so sad, as this is the prime of her retired life, to be able to kick back and enjoy what life has left to offer in her latter years. Compeeling writing. Marion.

Smurphy, this is quite chilling. It reads like a great Greek tragedy--only better. The family dynamics are simply incredible. It is hard to imagine people can be so cruel--especially blood relatives, but perhaps they are the worst of all. Fantastic writing! Seraph

torture charges? these letters to you and your mom are horrific - all the back and forth actions and recriminations and evictions and threats - this is just more strain than anyone could take, let alone people who are ill. Brooke

This is yet another stunning chapter, so full of pain and angst, yet clearly and crisply written. Dementia an d all it throws up, is such a painful and difficult issue to deal with, you conveyed that clearly.

I saw nothing to correct in this chapter. I can really feel through those emails how sick they are. It makes me frustrated! good job!

Isn't it so wonderful when you can understand why certain family members act the way they do,it makes you feel sad for them, with a kind a wish you could tie them down long enough for you to get through to them so you can feel better about everything.I could sense an air of I am so over this, its not about me,its about our mother now can we just band together for her sake.Going home rang bells as well,a new beginning is coming in a very big way.Again,Smurphgirl job extremely well done.Cranial Thinker

Families! It is so sad that your sisters are so twisted by what your father did that they are unable to distinguish reality. Their hatred is also aimed at themselves as well. They are in great need of mental help as were you, but you seem to be the only one that realized it.
I did my best to comfort Mom. - this line is a repeat of one only two lines above. It needs to be changed or removed. Other then that, all is well.

You know, Valerie, both you and your mother suffered most terribly at the hands of women who knew you were not lying, and who could not handle how you rose above what had been done to you to be a support for your mother. I cannot understand how you got through all this in one piece and sane...you are obviously very sane by the way!
Great writing.
Warmest wishes
Kat

Thank you. Actually when I was hospitalized I asked my doctor if he thought I was crazy, obviously his answer was no. I immediately asked him to put it in writing...he laughed and did what I asked. He wrote it on a prescription pad, it says, "I, Dr. P declare on this day, this hour, and this moment in time, that Valerie Jean Murphy is sane." He said he could only speak for that specific moment in time since he could legally predict the future. Not many people have such a declaration. I am quite proud of mine. Thak you fo the kind review.
