Some great stuff here with imagery. Not sure I understand what's going on between the gun and mowing but maybe I am just not a good poetry judge since I just started reading it again for the first time since college which was a long minute ago

Congrats on your first post! It's a good one! I thought your first poem was very creative. The sudden shift in tone with the mention of a gun going off was unexpected. But it added to the poem quite a bit as the following lines meant so much more. I thought each line was carefully crafted. It was very creative and unique.

It is rare to still have sixes so late in the week a silly quirk of FS. I am lucky to have kept at least one to reward this excellent piece of writing and I hope it acts as a warm welcome and invitation to share more writing like this. I have tried to write in lowercase before and know that i is a difficult one as it is forever being auto-corrected.

Wow! welcome to FS, I like this very much, very emotional and moving, the only thing I do not understand, is why your introduction says this is an 8-line poem, neither your lines or your line markers add to 8, you may need to revisit this, very well done, best wishes for your contest****kahpot
