Gretchen, my oh my, you hit me where I needed to be hit with this lovely little poem. I recently had someone hurt my feelings and my nose was out of joint, but thank you for your awesome words of wisdom.

I feel much better knowing that someone as lovely as you goes thru this at times too. It was a comfort to read your wonderful poem.
Thank you, my awesome friend for sharing. Love, Debi

If more people would "walk that extra mile," and "Be a little nicer," they "just might bring a smile." Unfortunately, these simple actions can be too much bother for some.

"Life isn't always kind," and "it's often just not fair." A long time ago learned most frequently one can find happiness in whatever may be their lot in life if they constructed something positive on it.

Yes it happens to many .Sometimes we just can't be nicer..Though we always regret that
I liked this two stanza poem stating this fact .A little more giving can go a long way to make a person happy...Thanks for sharing

Wonderful little rhymed poem about kindness. I think you are kind but I understand what you mean. We all make mistakes but we apologizea chance to apologize and try to do better.

Well done. I love the presentation too.

This is very light and frothy, not your usual. The picture is lovely, and the words are very truthful.
Enjoy your weekend. If you have Brit Box binge "Death in Paradise" or "Father Brown" I have done the first and am doing the last. Karen

This is a beautiful little poem with a lot of heart. It reminds me of the poetry that used to be used by Women's World or on the back of Country Woman. You might look on the news stand to see if they are still using poetry. Many libraries also have copies of these magazines also.

I almost had a short story in there back when it first came out. They bought it for an issue set for the next year. Then a new editor took over and cut the issues. Mine never saw.publication. thanks so much for the awesome review and the extra star. Gretchen

Editors move around like popcorn. Try again with the likely new editor.

Hi Gretchen,
you're not alone. Some days are diamonds, and some days are stones and the kind of day I'm having is usually reflected in my attitude. Lots of times having someone ask me for help can change my whole day though. Well done gal.
Blessings,
Tom

Thank you so much. I think we all do that. Once you open yourself to helping someone, you usually feel better. Gretchen

Good advice for all. Nicely rhymed and metered poem that holds a beautiful message about showing kindness and understanding to all.
We never know what others may be going through.
Thanks for sharing.

A lovely poem, and yes, we all need that reminder especially when we are tired, or overwhelmed. Life is not always easy or fair, but our attitude can make a positive difference to someone else. Thanks for sharing it.

Thanks, Wendy. It's true. We do sometimes get so wrapped up in our own world that we forget to be nice. Gretchen

I've read the theories on a smile requires less muscle effort than a frown, so I'm with you, to smile when one isn't smiley on the inside is hard, like being kind to a nasty person, especially if there's a succession of them, and in your job there might be a few. Beautifully written Gretchen, blessings Roy

There was a recent study that said smile even if you don't feel it. Just the act can trick your body into releasing the endorphins that happen when you're happy. Dopamine. I guess it's that old adage fake it til you make it. Gretchen
