Nicely done without going over the top with religious fervor. Some folks just cannot resist trying to beat us over the head with their brand of religion. I rarely review religious or political work. This was well done. karen

Yep, Jesus wasn't too fond of religion either!!

We made him an icon. He never wanted to be one. :-)

God is faithful, man not so much. Thank you for sharing this Faith Flash contest entry with us. I enjoyed reading and good luck with the contest.
My cuffed hands tremble as I grip the 3 inch pen. (normally in prose number under ten are written out three-inch pen, and even if you don't follow that rule it would be 3-inch)

Thank you so much. It took years to write about this. God strengthened my faith through the entire ordeal, even though I was terrified at the time!

If we don't have our faith, we have nothing. This is a sad story of a husband doing wrong and dragging his wife down with him. But, God is with her, she knows that. Excellent contest entry, well done, and good luck. :)) Sandra xx

Thank you so much. You are 100% correct. We have nothing without faith! God used this difficult time to strengthen mine, for which I am very grateful!

Oh yes, God is our justifier, and if we step back, He is on our case, He justified us by grace through faith in His Son's death and resurrection, and He will continue to be our advocate in life, well done, great post, blessings, read my latest post, (I'm not looking for fans, just fellowship) we'll dine, blessings Roy

I just noticed your pseudonym. Been there a couple of times

I'm jealous! Do you have Cornish in your ancestry? I know a lot of Cornish people moved to Australia at one time. My mother's maiden name is Angwin, and according to family, ALL Angwins are related. Cornwall is definitely on my bucket list. Arlene

I?m of welsh stock but I?ve been to Cornwall, a lot of Cornish miners came here
-
If you're Welsh, you're Celtic, as are the Cornish. Yes, my grandfather's people were miners. In fact, his father took the family to South Africa when the tin mines failed in Cornwall. He got gold dust fever from the mines there, took his young family back to England and died the last day of 1899. My grandfather could speak Afrikaans from his time living there.

Yes of course

Being free in your heart through Jesus and you are free whether handcuffed or behind bars. What a wonderfully written story. Good luck in the contest!
Have a great day, and God bless.

Thank you very much for your kind words! It certainly was a bit easier to write than to live! Glad the experience is in my rear-view mirror of life now!
