Ooh, they are stunning! I could totally relate to your story. My 2 cats (who have featured on Fanstory twice now) are 14 and 15. They are both doing well but it feels like I won't be able to have them for too much longer and they are my soulmates.
Keep the pics and stories coming!

Thank you! I completely understand what you mean. I was so deeply bonded with Sally. Losing her was very, very difficult. My new little boys are lovely, though, and our bonds will grow with time. :)

Delightful read. This line made me smile:
"I'm a bit of a self-confessed crazy cat lady and even I found it faintly ridiculous. Talk about spoiled for choice!" There are more cat bed options than human beds! Oskar and Harley are so cute. I bet it's hard to get much done when they are in play mode!
The story of Sally made me feel all the things. Earning a cat's true love is one of the great successes in lift. I'm glad your house is again a home shared with cats. Thank you for sharing the story.

Thank you so much! Yes, I've just returned to work after the summer holidays and the kittens' play mode is pretty intense, so my writing has temporarily taken a back seat! :)

I enjoyed your delightful story about four happy kitties. It sounds like cats require only a minimum amount of work and a small expense to care for them. It also sounds like cats are lively, entertaining companions. I hope your two boys bring you years of enjoyment.

They are so very adorable, Nevada! I have to tell you I'm a dog lover, but far from a cat hater. They're perfect little furry friends to have.

The choices you mention for sleeping accommodations are crazy. For dogs as well! I love your two little boys!

Best, JohnC

I can tell this is an all-consuming commitment now to your little boys. Nothing is off-limits. I enjoyed your back story with your other two which revealed just how much you loved the company of these pets and I've no doubt this reciprocal companionship will continue. Probably best, though, to get them used to their own beds:) An excellent read, Navada. Debbie

Thank you so much, Debbie! Yes, with my new boys and returning to work tomorrow, I might be less prolific on the site for a while! :)

It's good to know other confirmed cat people in this world. I have six of the lovable fur babies, and each one has his or her own unique personality. I love the photo of your adorable babies.

Thank you so much! They definitely do have their own personalities. I'm getting to know my boys as time goes on. It's been just over a week now since I went to pick them up. :)

Hello Navada,
I enjoyed your story. Those kittens look soft and cuddly. We had cats for a number of years, even though Jan was allergic to them. Two of my daughters have cats, and for some reason they both gravitate to me. We had a wiener dog for thirteen years who was a spoiled as any pet could be. He had to have milk on his cereal in the morning and would just look at me if I didn't put any on it. Yes, he ate whatever cereal I ate- Corn Flakes, Cheerios, oatmeal, whatever. At night he had to be physically picked up and put in his plush dog bed, and covered with a sleeping bag that was rated to twenty below zero. People and their pets! Thanks for sharing this gal.
Have a blessed day.
Tom

Hi Navada...
I thoroughly enjoyed your story. First, I never owned or had a cat in my lifetime. I've always had dogs and since I was maybe twelve or thirteen, I've had a dog in my life, aside gif maybe a few months in between if one went to the Rainbow Bridge.

I can totally relate to the affections which go both ways as well as the spoilings which do the same.

Great post, thank you for sharing...

John

Being a cat person myself, Navada, I found this to be a delightful tale. Your girl cats sounded sweet and fun, and now you've got boys. I think you'll find them quite different from the girls. We had mostly girl cats until just a few years ago when we got our boy cat, and he is quite different from the girls. That's just anecdotal based on my experience, but that's what we've discovered anyway. Sounds like you really enjoy them.

And yes, there are many, many choices for everything these days. Hard to know what they will like or dislike. - Jim

I loved your story. It resonated with me because we lost, Winnie, one of our tuxedo cats last spring (she is the one in my profile picture), but still have her brother, Alby. He still looks for her. He's 14. But he has become a lot closer to me now. I'm glad you have your little boys! We will always miss the ones we lose, but still have room in our hearts ftnew furry babies. Alby plays with our daughter's cats upstairs. She just adopted two new kittens. And they are a riot to watch.
