She is gorgeous. Was she named after a friend? Our pets are our family. We miss them like we would an arm or leg. You write well, and the picture lovely.

Thank you so much! I know a few Sallys, but I just liked the name. It has a happy ring to it. :)

This is a lovely tribute to your beloved cat. I know you mentioned you love Burmese, so I assume that's what we are looking at? Truly beautiful and sleek! Thanks for sharing! Julie

I like that this poem is clearly about a cat, even though you never say the word "cat" in the poem! It fits the prompt about it being about a "pet," and it also follows the 5-7-5 syllable count.

The loss of a pet is extremely hard. Very few understand the accompanying grief, and comfort and support is minimal. She was a beautiful and well-loved companion. Best wishes for your entry.

I like your poem, it is very descriptive. It is wonderful when a cat is loved as much as you love your pet. Like the words that you use to describe your pet. Best of luck in the contest.

I am owned by two cats, Minnie and Puma. I am sorry for your loss. This kitty is so pretty and she is worthy of a poem. Your words capture who she is. Excellent use of words to remember her by,

That coat is spectacular, indeed!! It's almost seal-like in quality, right? Absolutely gorgeous. I'm sorry you've lost her; she sounds great. Good luck with this beautiful entry. xo

A sweet little tribute to your cat, Sally. She indeed had very glossy, shiny, and beautiful fur. I am so sorry you lost her. It's so hard losing a beloved pet... but at least we will always have their memories.
