I enjoyed this poem very much and I've enjoyed your comments in the notes. I do not understand all of it and I probably will never really learn it, but it looks well on the page and it's a joy to listen to. Patricia.

Thank you Patricia. Never too late to learn. Thank you for this review and your comments.

Because of my severe vision problems, I probably will not learn the new things that involve too much in the way of rules or major or rhyming. I kind of just write from my heart what I?m feeling.

Yes I know.

Perfect picture. We have the same pole style house.
Cool format. I don't always understand the patterns and meters, but this one is easy to spot and gives your piece a nice flow.

Thank you for introducing me to this version of a poetic foot. I like the aesthetic imperfections of the birdhouse and yet it is clearly still in use and serving a valuable purpose - a powerful metaphor, I think! :)

Thank you Nevada. Very perceptive.

This little write was pleasurable to read. I always think it's a nice bonus when the poet is able to make lines 1 and 3 rhyme in addition to lines 2 and 4, as you have done. Lovely poem.

I love the ability some authors have to compose such meaning in such few words. Great job!!
No SPAG critique to offer.
It really does look like a rundown little apartment building :)
Thank you for sharing!!

I love purple martins and that is what this particular house was built and erected for. They are swooping birds and need the height and wide area to launch themselves.
I enjoyed reading your posting very much!

Hi Daylily. Thank you for reading and reviewing my work. Those are lovely birds to watch either perched or in flight. None home that day, as I saw an owl nearby.
