Very short and I don't usually review these as I can't see the poetry in one mere line but this has a little magic atmosphere in it and I find it effective. Well done.

I always love Haiku Sanku and yours is so special .... From the great image of the owl to the colour and to the words...
My only suggestion would be to make the words larger. I am on my Office Mac and the words are very small...

I have never heard of a one line haiku, but I like the nuance of it. Owls are one of my favorite animals, and probably my favorite birds for sure.
What do you think about the word deafening instead of deathly? However, I could see deathly being a good chosen word if an owl is preparing to strike. But deafening silence would juxtapose well against the sound of the owl hooting.

Not all is still throughout the long winter's night. This is such lovely Haiku, it invites us to pause and think about the natural world we do not see in the darkness, but can hear if we ourselves are silent.

I'm an early riser and I love to hear our pair of owls hooting in the front trees. Their sound carries for miles. What a wonderfully written poem.
