I was just checking your profile page to read your posts .I am quite surprised that I was not even aware of a new site .I am getting the same site. For a few days the colour had been red .Now it is back to blue. I had read that poem Debi tried to post...that something went haywire with the site

I remember a few years ago Tom brought up this subject in the Forum and most of us argued about for several days. I do remember him saying that it was up to each member if they wanted to switch over to the new site or stay on the old site and he also said not to worry because the old site would always be here. Well, after reading what you have written in your poem (by the way, your rhyming is great) it seems like what he said in the Forum has been"shot to hell."
And I just extended my subscription another year a few weeks ago. What are you going to do? We've got a lot of time and money invested in Fanstory over all these years.
Maybe, if enough of the members complain about it he will bring it back, but I doubt that very much because that would cost him a hell of a lot of money.
I've missed talking to you girl. It's been a busy summer around here, I've been having the old homeplace remodeled. But, winter will be back in a few weeks and Fanstory has been my winter hobby for nearly 15 years now.
Drop me a line and let me know what you've been doing. We can't stop Fanstory now, we've got to much invested. Take care my good friend...This letter to you is more typing then I've done in a very long time...Miss you...Your old Buddy...Bill

I understand why you are frustrated ...when Yahoo e-mail eventually updates to the new version every so on (despite I always press the NO option) it takes me days to find and understand where everything is.

Hi Tempeste, Debi tried to post a poem...and it's what made the
site go haywire...and after that Tom shut the old FanStory down...
without warning...the old one was the better one...
technology did nothing to help the new one...people who were put on it...say they hate it...
I was shocked too...so are many...

much like you sweet girl...I miss all those who have pasted as well...
and Brooke too...she was my teacher...not in her class...but we
were friends on the site...when ever I wrote my poems...I
would wait for her to come over and correct my mistakes...
and she was always right there...I miss her so much...she was a
brilliant writers...
I remember a newby coming on here telling Brooke she had
a lot to learn about writing...after her review...everyone was coming on telling that newby...to take Brookes class for writing...she could learn something from Brooke...Brooke was the Sites teacher....LOL...

When I went on it a good number of years ago, it had a warning about not being secure.
I hope you find someone to help you. If not, hope you don't give up on the site. It has many benefits it didn't have before.

Hi Pam, when Tom first open the new site...he wanted
everyone to move over...so many people said they would leave...
so he let us have out choice of which site we wanted to stay on...over the years he had tried to get people to change...but they liked the old site...whatever happen last week...intentional or not...
he shut it down...
I know some who said when their memberships are over...they won't be back...I hate when people leave...we have lost so many talented
writers al ready....I got shut off last week...couldn't get back on...a friend on FanStory helped me out through the night...and I finally was able to contact Tom...who put me and many others back on...
but not on the old site we paid to be on...I hate the new site...Sigh...
only time will tell...

I didn't know you the old site was closed. I never use it but I do use the old picture form. It's much better.

Hi John, there was a first site...before this one...
it was a much better site...things were simpler and easier
to get to...posting was easier to get to...
Tom was going to shut it down when the new one came out...
but people were going to leave...so he gave us our choice in
which one we wanted to use...
the new site is cold...and more confusing than what
the old site was...

and from what I'm hearing...people aren't taking
his choice of technology very well...most are saying they hate
the new site...
to me the old site was easier to get around...to post on...
I had trouble with this poem...and it's definitely colder...
