Very, very, good. I believe you highlighted the mess you are in over there perfectly. Particularly loved the descriptions of the Donald and the image is spot on. Many of us in Australia watch on with a sort of morbid fascination. How can this be happening? Well, it is America seems to be the standard answer.
Terry well done. I got a few smiles out of this story.
All the best.

Hahaha... pretty funny. You got Trump down perfectly and the sermon fits very well. God help us, no Trump please. Biden has my vote.

Well done

I love political satire. We laugh or we cry...

"Three marriages, assorted affairs, hush money cover-up, six bankruptcies, four thousand legal business cases, one hundred tax cases, convicted of sexual assault with the judgment of over eighty million dollars. Convicted of fraud and fined three hundred thirty-five million dollars, and more cases are yet to come."

Can you imagine the above on a resume for Dog Catcher, being successful?

No.

So sure...

We get to pick between the rock and the hard place.

One's connivingly cavalier and ones a confused cadaver-like incumbent.

There really out to be a "None of the Above" box to check.

This election scares me!

Karenina

Harambe would be a better choice!

Or....how about that clever author of a children's Christmas book?

Hmmmm...

Karenina

Great story, Terry! I love the way you presented verses from the Bible to make several points about both Donald and Joe. It's a scary thing to think about either one of them getting in. The lesser of two evils? When did it come to that in our country?
Very cute, and I love the part about Harambe. He's a great writer!!

Take care,
Rhonda

You are brave to post this brilliant political satire in Trump Country. The amazing thing is, this is a fairly accurate portrayal of real life Texas events particularly damning for Abbott but even more so for Paxton who was recently acquitted for his corruption and bribery. He's a chip off the old block and proof that it pays to have low friends in high places.

The turbine conspiracy was hilarious as was the sleight of hand by The Donald in the collection plate. Someone's got to pay for the lawyers.
But what can we expect from a party that has decided that higher education is a gateway drug to Socialism, and that science is just another opinion. As The Donald will say, "We are going to build a big beautiful wall and China's gonna pay for it."

Agree or disagree, no matter which political party one supports, the fact that you have used the tools of satire to great effect here makes this an exceptional write.

"One more thing" as Detective Columbo used to say: Vote Harambe for President.

Thanks for sharing.

Gloria, thank you for the six stars! I think for satire to work it needs to have some truth to work with. But for these guys the truth is an elusive thing. Terry.

Preaching to the choir here. But so many people seem unable to see him for what he is, They wouldn't vote for a dog catcher with those stats but they voted him in for president, and want to do it again. Karen

Karen, thank you for reading. Dog catchers may need some compassion which rules The Donald...out. Terry.

Hi Terry, a very creative story this week and I love how this time you put the setting in a church. From a sex-mobile to a church, looks like we are moving up. LOL.

I love the preacher in this one. It seems to me that maybe next week's story should be about how we can get this guy to run for president. After all that seems to be on everyone's mind, of what a horrible thing it will be if Trump gets in and even worse if biden get's in. Either way, we are screwed. Ouch, did I say that.

I need Louise to stay out of my head when I am doing this. LOL.
Thanks for the great read, and about that preacher, any chance he is based on a real character. I really liked the guy! Great job, my friend.

Eighty-seven year old Mildred got it exactly right. I can't believe these two are the best that the US can find - so maybe Harambe .... or nyone else... would be better. Great political satire, but unfortunately it is so skilfully right on!

You have to continue this satire, Terry! I feel it ended too soon. More reports please on the unscrupulous activities of The Donald. This could all change the final outcome, we pray! Harambe is definitely a better candidate, not a hint of corruption and a zoologist into the bargain so he'll know all about how to tackle uncivilized apes! Your story is humorous, imaginative and an absolutely delightful read. Thank you for sharing. Take care Debbie

This is hilarious satire. You had me laughing all the way through. I try to follow the basics of the political system just so I can understand this history in the making. My vote is for Harambe or Brother Jim. Enjoyed this creative story.
