cocaine and psychedelics

by pierre poote'

egocentric...

     reckless...

          high on
cocaine...

               darting elusively

                    with
powder white wings

                         through ebony shadows of night

                              vainly searching

                                   vastly altered moods to

                                        alleviate feelings of

                                             mental discomfort

numb tingling

     nerves racing up

         white capped mountain peaks...

defiant disregard for danger or consequences...

                    no fear

                         of people, places or things

a coal eyed
snowman in the dead of winter

ignoring the summer months to come

when the heat of hell will leave

               only a puddle of tears

a psychedelic brain paints its canvas

with wild horses,

          bright colors anpink flowers

               unde
azure skies , a yellow sun

and silkclouds of eiderdown

but the skies will blacken

     and darkness will smother…

pain will ooze from every pore

               collapsing the mind

                    into smoldering
coca hell

stealing the spirit of the soul to slay
