Pearl Hunt

What item's washed upon the beach,
Within our reach,
To our surprise
Before our eyes?

What Ho! I see a giant clam
For my exam.
Did waves not hurl
Along a pearl?

Well, if they did, I know not where.
There's nothing there.
Just empty space
That seems the case.
