After all the frozen
dreary
Winter days

Where the temperatures
stayed too low
to venture out

Snow covered all
November to May

Followed by
days upon days
of cold driving rain

It is so good to see
the sun shining
once again

To feel its warmth
upon
your face
and skin

As the drab
turns to green

The trees bud
into leaves
for the returning
birds

and colors
begin to show again
as
flowers
start to bloom

Then I know
the worst is over
