The Morning After

by NamastaLee

~~~~~
I wake with a start
I smell gasoline
The beat of my heart
Turns hammer machine
My hands and my feet
Are tied to the bed
I’m nude on the sheet
A bag on my head
Sharp blades of bright light
Crash in through the blinds
It’s useless to fight
So tight are my binds
A man to the right
I feel his cold grin
I met him last night
Is that such a sin?
I hear a match light
I hear the man turn
The bedclothes ignite
I scream as I burn
~~~~~
