Deep within the soul
Revives a buried injustice
Commuted from long ago

The lost and ignorant
Held forth a cross
To behold the Son of God
A tear was spilled
A cry rang out
The world was almost lost

Through Christ's own pure desire
Forgiveness came in waves
He saved from God's own wrath
Those who had lost the way

When Jesus saw the Lord relent
He passed beyond this realm
Today we seek His forgiveness
That breaks all sinful spells
