Last words

Fond Farewell

by LoannaLois

Well at last, we meet again
I'm quite surprised you're here.
The last time that you said good-bye
was fairly clear, my dear.

You look so nice in basic black
I...not so much...in blue.
But you went for the grieving look
Oh, if they only knew.

So many things were never said.
So much was left undone.
I guess I never knew you;
While I thought You were the one.

I'd like to ask why you believed
That this was your way out.
I would have let her have you!
Just believe, and have no doubt.

And now you look so sorry,
you will grieve and act so sad,
But honey, wipe your tears away,
I know who killed me, lad.

You put that poison in my tea
and brought it to be kind.
But, if you think you'll get away
with this...you've lost your mind.

I hope you two are happy
with your home and picket fence,
'cause just before I closed my eyes
I gathered evidence.

Tomorrow, in the morning mail
They'll get my little prize
and I will go to sleep my love,
at peace and feeling wise.
