A chapter in the book An April shower of Poems

The promise

by Carolyn 'Deaton' Stephens

*********************************
Fields of emerald green
are strewn with buttercups
Hybernation's ended
Woodchucks wakin' up

Rainbows arched in eastern sky
shimmering in the blue
The promise made so long ago
still fresh for me and you
