The Perspective

by FearlessSpringDay

The dazzling necklace choked her for all her breathe
took all hope for freedom and strangled its neck
this necklace much like the many others she had
kept her locked in a tower as an object for a man

The sights she sees outside her tower
was only part of the scene, only showed her flowers
we settle our gaze on a young little maid
whose vision was dimmed onto the dazzling

Washing and drying this maid had a dream
to be the lady up in that tower whose necklace always gleamed
with hands not touched by working all day
who would never grow hungry or be beaten with a cane

With a necklace just like a rose filled with thorns
and a life filled with working until theres nothing but bones
these worlds never cross yet they both still dream
of  the opposites wants, of the other's misery
