My Vision of Enlightened Society
Write a poem that somehow incorporates the topic. The poem does not have to be specifically about the topic and creative approaches are welcomed. But contest voters will be asked to consider the topic when making a choice for a winner.
My vision of enlightened society is contained my work "The Shambhala Household" and in others of my works. The entries in this contest should describe the authors vision of an enlightened society, a good human society, or an aspect of that vision. It can be a universal society or a smaller society. It can be an aspect of current society if you feel it to be enlightened. If a vision contains a major change from current conditions such as world peace then an explanation of the causes and conditions of such change would be desirable. Please make your society a place where ordinary human beings live--not a perfect utopia.
Any recognized style or form of poetry is acceptable.
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 85.00 member dollars. There are only 1 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 90.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
