Septolet Poetry
Poetry Contest
The Septolet is a poem consisting of seven lines containing fourteen words with a break in between the two parts. Both parts deal with the same thought and create a picture.
EXAMPLE:
(Untitled)
Lion
moving swiftly
across the plain,
most intent.
Antelope
grazing contently
on his meal.
***In this contest, NO pictures should be used because the poem is supposed to CREATE the picture for the reader. That is the challenge.
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool of 60.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
Deadline: Contest is closed. Deadline was Friday, August 3, 2007.
