Poetry Contest
Write a Meta Poem. Meta Definition:- (of a creative work) referring to itself or to the conventions of its genre; self-referential. One of the more popular uses of meta today is for the meaning best described by the formula "meta-X equals X about X." So, if we take the word "data" for our X, and add the prefix meta- to it, we get metadata, or "data about data." A meta-poem is a poem about poetry. The self-reflection sense of meta has also given rise to the use of the word as a standalone adjective, where meta is used to describe something that?s self-reflective or self-referencing.
For example my haiku called the simplest form:
Inexcusable
Oversimplification ~
Unacceptable
It's a haiku in the fewest words possible and refers to itself.
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 40.00 member dollars. There are 10 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 90.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
