Self-Portrait
Poetry Contest
The topic for this poetry contest is: A Graphic Self-Portrait
Write a poem that somehow incorporates the topic. The poem does not have to be specifically about the topic and creative approaches are welcomed. But contest voters will be asked to consider the topic when making a choice for a winner.
Look at yourself in the mirror. Can you describe, in poem, what you see there?
The brick walks with azure eyes glinting beneath furrowed brows.
The feet disappear when the brick looks down;
smiling, he scratches at the wire pushing through
the skin of his face.
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool of 36.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
Deadline: Contest is closed. Deadline was Wednesday, July 1, 2009.
