The topic for this contest is:
Realtor Angela Bates proudly showed the prospective owners the house. She never expected to find the body of her ______________ in the _______________.
Write a story that somehow incorporates the topic. The story does not have to be specifically about the topic. But should clearly incorporate the topic into the story.
Creative approaches are welcomed. But contest voters will be asked to consider the topic when making a choice for a winner.
Minimum length 700 words. Maximum Length 7,000 words. Recommended length 2,000 - 3,500 words.
The rules:
In the spirit of cozy mysteries, write a mystery/thriller using the above sentence as a guideline. Cozies are typically free from gratuitous violence and sex and do not use extreme profanity. The sleuth is generally a woman with a different vocation (in this case, a realtor), who merely stumbles upon a murder and then is able to solve the case. The challenge is to intrigue and enthrall your reader with the Who-Done-It, but keep it clean!
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool of 90.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
